Probably the best part of this remote control toy is that it generates its own WiFi network. This eliminates the requirement of a separate net connection or a router as also of a separate remote control. The drone can be effectively operated with an iPhone, iPad or iPod. In case you are a beginner you need to hold the left onscreen button of the drone & the accelerometer of the iPhone to maneuver the craft. The movements of the drone mirror the movements of the accelerometer. Thus when you move the accelerometer to the right, the drone moves right; when you move it to the left the drone moves left & so on. The right screen onscreen button allows the user to change the altitude of the craft & also to rotate it. But don't go for the 90 degree turns & sudden rotations yet - put some experience under your belt first. In the advanced version a single onscreen virtual joystick is can be used to control the drone. At present only Apple devices are supported. Parrot is working on an Android version.
